Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 27, 2026
Playdate (“Playdate,” “we,” “us”) helps parents coordinate playdates for their children. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Playdate is intended for use by parents and guardians who are 18 or older. Children do not create or use accounts.
Information we collect
- Your account: your name and email address, and an optional phone number.
- Children you add:a first name, an approximate age, an optional avatar, and any optional notes you choose to add (such as allergies). We ask you to keep this minimal. Please do not enter information you don't want shared with families you connect to.
- Activity: your connections, playdate requests, responses, and messages you send within the app.
How information is shared
- Your children's details (age, allergies, notes) are visible only to parents you have explicitly connected with.
- When a parent invites several families to the same playdate, the other invited families can see each child's first name only— never the age, allergies, parent name, or contact details of a family you aren't connected to.
- There is no public directory and no way for strangers to find your children.
- Your phone number is kept private and is only shared with a specific playdate group if you choose to share it there.
- We do notsell your personal information or your children's information.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run Playdate: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email delivery). They process data only to provide their services to us.
Your choices & rights
- You can edit or remove your children's information anytime in Settings.
- You can remove connections and delete content you created.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your children's data.
